Lifes lessons

Recently, I have been thinking what do I want my kids to know! I am not meaning the basic things like their ABC's but rather more life lessons. While dwelling on this I realized that I better write them down. This way I can make sure I am teaching them these things regularly.

First, I want them to know Heavenly Father and His plan for them.


Second, I want them to love their fellow mankind. And be a service to mankind.


I will post others when I have time...


This has been on the back of my mind for a while now. And as I have been dwelling on it I have come to the conclusion that a lot of the time in America we push our kids and try to teach them anything and everything. But I feel like the basics have been lost in the push of everything we expect our children to learn. Instead of wondering if we have developed well rounded characters we worry how they do with their school work or extracurricular activities. I am not saying those are bad things to work... just that lets not get lost on what we can see first had versus who they are. So with that being said here is the rest of my list.

7. Love of diversity

8. It is OK to cry

9. There is nothing wrong with having emotions, but rather how we handle those emotions

10. The satisfaction of making someones day better by a little act of love

Here it is 3:30 am and I have spent the last three hours trying to calm down Red Panda and Lady Bug. It is nights like this where I actually love being a mom! No there is no sarcasm in that. There is something so rewarding after listening to a kid cry for hours and trying everything to comforted them. And then boom they are out cold! And you know they are finally comforted so everything you have been doing is totally worth it!! However, it does make me want to put my kids in bubbles so they never get sick again. But that would be so unhealthy!! And while I was up and rocking Lady Bug I came across this and thought it was hilarious!!! Pour running-nose Rex!
